I’m local or live in the Seattle Area, can I avoid a shipping fee?

We have a customer drop off & pick up service with Vertical World Seattle and Vertical World North. If you live in the Yakima area, or you are passing through we offer the same service at High Steppe Climbing Center. If you choose to use this service complete a Request Form on our site. And, fill out a Repair Tag at the front counter at the gym. NOTE: This service typically extends the length of the turnaround time. Yet, saves you from shipping costs. Please no carabiners or webbing on your shoes.

How can I send you my shoes?

Ship to:

Vertical Resole 5605 Marilane St. Yakima WA 98908

We recommend you ship to us with flat rate USPS boxes or padded envelopes or Priority USPS Tyvek. Even cheaper, your own Tyvek shipping bag USPS Priority, so that you can track your package. Again no carabiners or webbing on your shoes.

Be Careful to not send shoes in those brown cellulose padded mailers. They are not sturdy enough for your shoes. We don’t want you to lose your shoes.

What’s the return shipping costing me?

USPS Priority Return Shipping will be charged when billed according to weight and dimensions.

When will I be charged?

We charge you after accessing your shoes, confirming with you the work needed, and providing a cost estimate to complete the resole. Upon your ok we start the resole, and just prior to returning your repaired shoes we email you an Invoice via a secure payment method, which allows you to pay online.

Will I be charged sales tax?

The State of Washington requires Washington State tax on services rendered for customers in the state of Washington. Therefore, you will be taxed for services at our location in Yakima Washington at 8.3%. Folks shipping from out of state will not be charged sales tax.

About

High performing rock shoes give you an edge when it comes to vertical success. I get very attached to my rock shoes. They’ve been integral to all my achievements on outdoor routes. Rather than throwing away shoes you trust, Vertical Resole is available to bring your trusty pair back to life.

Anyone who knows me, knows that climbing is my unmitigated passion. I’ve been climbing for over four decades in many different genres - sport, trad, alpine and gym climbing. And, I’ve been a proper fan of resoling climbing footwear, since it became available.

I was taught the craft of resoling from my mentor, John Ramuta, a 3rd generation cobbler with over three decades of rock-shoe resoling experience. My climbing experience and excellent resoling training guarantees detailed workmanship and care of your rock climbing footwear.
